5G is the 5th generation mobile network. It is a new global wireless standard as well as 1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G networks. In other words 5G enables a new kind of network that is design to connect everyone and everything together including machines, objects, and devices.

Vodafone Idea (VI)
It is gearing up to introduce Vodafone Idea to launch 5G within the next 6-7 months marking an important step in the competitive telecom landscape. Nevertheless it is behind the party because its rivals have already offered 5G services all over the country and in the other words VI Launch Date 6 to 7 months. However exact information about VI 5G plans deployment is still as soon as they are dependent on the ongoing funding efforts.
Vodafone Idea 5G launch date in India
The third-biggest telecom provider in India, Vodafone Idea (Vi), has mentioned introducing 5G once more. Nevertheless, the operator is still not expected to receive finance. Vi’s CEO, Akshaya Moondra, stated at the company’s most recent Q3 FY24 investors call that they are “looking” to introduce 5G in roughly six to seven months.
Jio 5g
Jio 5g services was first launched in India by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 1, 2022. That time only two operators offered a 5G network in the country. First is Bharti Airtel and second is Reliance Jio.

- Airtel has announced unlimited 5G data to all prepaid and postpaid users across the country.
- In other words, Airtel 5G plans device users must have a minimum recharge plan of Rs 239 and above to use Airtel 5G plus.
- Airtel has claimed its 5G plus speed will be 20 to 30 times faster than its 4G speed.
- The network will allegedly be able to download HD movies within seconds and stream high-quality 4k videos without buffering.
Jio and Airtel 5g plan prices could be announced soon: –
Moondra emphasizes reliance Jio as well as Bharti Airtel’s large investment in 5g infrastructure as a possible source of revenue. Both Airtel and reliance Jio are about to announce 5g plan costs in other ways implying that 5g services may not be available for free in the near future.
